Creekside Home Treasures, LLC offers you a beautiful selection of art.  Art of all kinds.  Art comes in so many forms, so many mediums, and so many styles.

   Art is not simply something to put on a wall or tabletop to add color to your home.  Art comes in the form of home decorations, jewelry, toys, and so many other various forms.  Art is not always something to just look at, but also to feel, wear, play with, and even eat.  Whichever form it takes, art  adds beauty and personality to our everyday lives.  Art awakens our senses to excite us, to calm us, to amuse us.

   Creekside aims to offer a great selection of art in various mediums and styles.  As we grow, we will be adding new mediums and styles continuously so that no matter what you are looking for, we can help you.

   While we are having fun growing Creekside and meeting new people, we also aim to help those of you that struggle with a sense of style.  We will help you find your style by introducing you to various art in an atmosphere that is unlike the typical gallery.

   Creekside has become the "ungallery gallery" of the Fairlawn / Akron, Ohio area.  You will find an inviting gallery.  There are no sterile white walls, no larger-than-life "museum art", and nothing pretentious or intimidating at Creekside.   We like to keep things "real" at Creekside.  We do not believe in gouging the customer with super-over-inflated prices.  We keep the prices real - that is, what the average person can afford to spend.  Our prices range from $3.00 to $3,000.00, with a huge selection for under $100, and a big selection from the $100 to $200 range.   You don't have to spend $10,000 for a painting to place on your living room wall, but if that is what you wish to do we will be more than happy to help you with that as well!

How Creekside Got Started

   Creekside Home Treasures started as a small home based business in 2006 after owner, Maria Daw, was in a car wreck that left her battling with chronic pain.  At the time she was working behind a desk which aggravated her condition.  After much debate she and her husband came to the decision that it was time for a change, one that she had been thinking about for a long time.  Daw grew up with so many of her relatives, including her own mother, owning their own businesses.  She felt it was in her blood and  just a natural thing for her to do.  Although she knew it would be a struggle to get it off the ground.

   Creekside Home Treasures initially set up gallery residence in the Merriman Valley (Akron, Ohio) with our grand opening on Saturday, November 17th, 2007.  During our short time in the valley, we listened to our customers comments about our location.  So we moved to Fairlawn, in the plaza where we are now.  You can find us at 25 Ghent Road, Suite 119, Fairlawn (Akron) - corner of Ghent Road and Crawfis Boulevard - in the plaza with Nola's Salon, Eggcastle, and Toland's Dollshop - across from Summit Mall. 

 Creekside Today

    Creekside is proud to work with local artists, offering them a venue in which they can display and sell their art.  A "Featured Local Artist" exhibits work starting at the beginning of each month and displays until the end of the month (approximately).  Look for the dates and times to come to our "Meet the Artist" Receptions.  During any given time,  Creekside simultaneously carries the works of various local artists on a consignment basis.

   Since our opening in Fairlawn, Ohio, Creekside slowly began working with Interior Designers in our area.  In September 2008, Creekside became a proud Affiliate Partner of the Interior Design Society.  We will be participating in the IDS Trade Show on October 16, 2008 and hope to meet many of the talented Interior Designers of Northeast Ohio.

   A unique variety of art from other regions of the world is also offered at Creekside.  Whether it be an exquisite bronze statuette from Brazil or a balance toy from The Netherlands, you will find a delightful array of art at Creekside's gallery.

   The concept behind Creekside is to offer quality and unique art at affordable prices.  You can find cookie-cutter and mass produced  items elsewhere.  Creekside wants to make sure you get something that fits your personality - not the "commercialized" personality that is available in department and chain stores.   What you will find at Creekside are originals and limited editions in many forms, mediums and styles!

   Since Creekside first originated in 2006, constant requests have been made for jewelry.  Well, now it is here!  Jewelry was introduced into Creekside's gallery for Mother Day 2008 with beautiful designs by local artist, Stacia Davis Moore, and also some imported necklaces from Bali and Mexico.  We have added more jewelry by local jewelry artists since then and offer a wide variety of designs.  We currently work with six local jewelry artists, and are adding to the list constantly!
